The Victim Justice Coalition (VJC) seeks to ensure that crime victims and survivors are not sidelined in city and county policy priorities.
The topic of public safety has been a central and often polarizing issue during 2025 campaign, and we gave candidates the opportunity to answer a few basic questions about their approach, perspectives, and commitments to crime victims and survivors in King County.
The Victim Justice Coalition, a volunteer coalition of current and former victim advocates, attorneys, crime victims and survivors, and their families and friends—united in our mission to strengthen the response to those impacted by violence and trauma, will continue to track these commitments throughout the campaign and beyond the election. Survivors deserve leadership that moves beyond symbolism toward tangible, lasting change in how our region supports those impacted by violent crime.
